Reinstalling the Dongle Driver
The information provided is for help with Commtest Instruments products:
- Unplug the Ascent security dongle and restart your computer.
- Start Ascent by clicking the desktop shortcut or by selecting Start>Programs>VB-Series>Ascent X.xx.
The Ascent window will appear as previously (but this time we can fix the problem J).
- Connect the Ascent security dongle. Windows will auto-detect the device and you will see a 'Found new Hardware' screen. This will disappear after a few seconds and your dongle driver will be automatically installed for you.
- Now click option 2 Re-Register. After a few seconds the Dongle Information window will open.
- Click Continue and Ascent should now start up normally. You will be able to run Ascent without further dongle problems.
