Installing Ascent Using a Parallel Port Security Dongle

The information provided is for help with Commtest Instruments products:

• Ascent®

If you have selected a parallel port dongle as part of your vb instrument kit, install the Ascent program and connect the dongle when the software prompts you. The Windows® operating system will automatically enable the dongle.

Note: You must have computer account adminstrator permissions on your PC to install the Ascent software. Contact your local network administrator for assistance with this.

• Close all programs on your PC.
• Insert the Ascent CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.

• Wait for the Ascent installation program to automatically start.

OR

• Run the setup.exe program located on the CD-ROM.

• Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
