Using the Commtest Bearing Archive

The information provided is for help with Commtest Instruments products:

QUESTION

I want to add a bearing to a point. How do I find my bearing in the archive?

ANSWER

There are two ways you can do this - use Quick Search or Advanced Search.

  1. If you know the bearing manufacturer and/or part number, use the Quick Search option (see 1. Finding a Bearing Using Quick Search).
  2. If you do not know the bearing manufacturer or part number, the Advanced Search option will help you to find the correct bearing (see 2. Using Advanced Search).

1. Finding a Bearing Using Quick Search

2. Using Advanced Search

The advanced search option will help you to find the correct bearing in the archive even if you don't know the manufacturer and part number. Advanced search uses the information you provide to come up with a list of bearings that match your criteria.

Advanced search presents a range of search options that allow you to narrow down the archive's list of bearings.

You can now select a bearing from this list or add more information and start a fresh search to narrow down the list of possible bearings.

A bearing icon will now appear in the navigator list whenever this point is selected.
