Application Code for Unlocking The Bearing Expert

Note: If you have any 1.xx versions of The Bearing Expert version, these versions are no longer supported by the creator ISI; therefore Commtest cannot provide support either. One possible solution is to upgrade to the latest version of The Bearing Expert via ISI directly. Alternatively, contact us for personal assistance.

QUESTION

Where does the Application Code appear for unlocking The Bearing Expert?

ANSWER

First, ensure that The Bearing Expert and Ascent/MAS VB are both installed from their installation CD-ROMs.

  1. Load The Bearing Expert and select File>Unlock.
  2. A Customer Details window appears - fill in your details.
  3. A window will now appear with your Application Code, offering the choice of unlocking via the Internet (easiest method as it is unlocked without further customer interaction) or manually by Fax/e-mail.
  4. If choosing the FAX/e-mail option send:

     

along with your contact information and vb serial number (off the back of the instrument) to:

tbe- reg@commtest.co.nz

We then return an unlock code for you to enter manually into the software.

Alternatively, customers can choose to go to the ISI website unlock page and entering the above details directly online. Feel free to go to ISI's home page for direct support from ISI.

Note:

You can also run The Bearing Expert as a standalone program by selecting Start>Program Files>ISI Applications>The Bearing Expert.

Remember that each vb instrument you purchase entitles you to one licence of The Bearing Expert only. This licence 'locks' to your PC hardware and can only ever be actioned once. Please ensure the PC you install the Bearing Expert on will be used long term as you need to purchase further licenses after this first one has been activated.
