PROBLEM
When sending to the vb instrument this error message appears:
'You are sending too many different Parameter Set entries to the vb. The vb only has space for 250'
SOLUTION
As the error message states, the instrument's parameter set table is now full. This happens eventually if a vb instrument is used extensively in Measure Mode, using a large variety of parameter settings (very large >250) .
Here are two ways to fix the problem, and one to prevent it from re-occurring
Note: For US versions of the instrument, any routes will not be sent to the instrument; therefore, Option 1 is recommended.
This is not a solution to the immediate problem but will prevent it from re-occurring.
One reason for needing a large number of parameter sets is that machines all run at different speeds, so the same parameter set is repeated many times with different Fmax values.
From version 2.20, the vb instrument supports orders-based parameter sets. This means that Fmax is specified as, say, 10 times running speed, rather than as a fixed Hz/CPM value. By switching to these orders based measurements, far fewer parameter sets are required to cover the range of machine running speeds. So the instrument's capacity of 250 is very unlikely to be exceeded.
